Crazy Mary live at the Garden

Hay un misterio, un misterio que no se acaba, algo de nostalgia y una historia.

She lived on the curve in the road in an old tar paper shack.
On the south side of the town on the wrong side of the tracks.
Sometimes on the way into town we'd say,
"mother can we stop and give her a ride?"
Sometimes we did but her hands flew from her side.
Wild eyed crazy Mary.

Down a long dirt road past the Parson's place.
The old blue car we used to race
A little country store with a sign tacked to the side
Said 'NO L-O-I-T-E-R-I-N-G ALLOWED'
Underneath that sign always congregated quite a crowd.

Take a bottle drink it down. Pass it around.
Take a bottle drink it down. Drink it... Pass it around. Pass it a...
A-take a bottle drink it down. Pass it... Pass it a... Pass it around.

One night thunder cracked. Mercy backed outside her windowsill.
Dreamed I was flying high above the trees over the hills
Looked down into the house of Mary.
Bare bulb on Newspaper covered walls
And Mary rising up above it all.

Next morning on the way into town
saw some skid marks and followed them around
Over the curve, through the fields, into the house of Mary
That what you fear the most could meet you halfway
That what you fear the most could meet you halfway.

Take a bottle drink it down. Pass it around.
Take a bottle drink it down. Pass it... Pass it around. Pass it a...

Last Nite

Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, I feel so down.
Oh, it turns me off,
When I feel left out"

So I, I turned 'round:
"Oh baby, don't care no more,
I know this for sure,
I'm walkin' out that door"

Well, I've been in town for just 'bout fifteen oh minutes now
And Baby, I feel so down
See I don't know why!
I keep walkin' for miles.

People they don't understand
No, girlfriends, they can't understand
Your Grandsons, they won't understand
On top of this, I ain't ever gonna understand...

Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, don't feel so down.
Oh, it turns me off,
When I feel left out"

So I, I turned 'round:
"Oh, baby, gonna be alright"
It was a great big lie
'Cause I left that night”

And, people they don't understand
No, girlfriends, they don't understand
In spaceships they won't understand
And me, I ain't ever gonna understand...

Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, I feel so down.
See, it turns me off,
When I feel left out"

So I, I turned 'round:
"Oh little girl I don't care no more.
I know this for sure,
I'm walking out that door," yeah.

Father and Son

Father
It's not time to make a change,
Just relax, take it easy.
You're still young, that's your fault,
There's so much you have to know.
Find a girl, settle down,
If you want you can marry.
Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy.

I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy,
To be calm when you've found something going on.
But take your time, think a lot,
Why, think of everything you've got.
For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not.

Son
How can I try to explain, when I do he turns away again.
It's always been the same, same old story.
From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen.
Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away.
I know I have to go.

Father
It's not time to make a change,
Just sit down, take it slowly.
You're still young, that's your fault,
There's so much you have to go through.
Find a girl, settle down,
if you want you can marry.
Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy.
(Son-- Away Away Away, I know I have to
Make this decision alone - no)

Son
All the times that I cried,
keeping all the things I knew inside,
It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it.
If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them They know not me.
Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away.
I know I have to go.
(Father-- Stay Stay Stay, Why must you go and
make this decision alone?)

Traducción:

Padre:
No es momento de hacer un cambio,
Relájate, tranquilízate.
Todavía eres joven, ese es tu defecto
Hay tanto que tienes que saber.
Encuentra una chica, sienta cabeza
Si quieres puedes casarte
Mírame, soy viejo, pero soy feliz.

Una vez yo fui como eres ahora, y se que no es
fácil estar tranquilo cuando encuentras
que algo está pasando
Pero tomate tu tiempo, piensa mucho,
Piensa en todo lo que has obtenido
Porque tú estarás aquí mañana,
pero tus sueños quizás no.

Hijo:

Yo solo - no)

Hijo:

Cat Stevens.
